In Toronto there is an event called Pleasure Palace Toronto (formerly known as Pussy Palace). The basic premise has a men’s bathhouse go all female for one night. Only women and trans are were allowed to come in, have a shower and cruise for sex. Just like the men. This event has been going on for over 15 years now in Toronto, Canada. Lesbian bathhouse.
Anyways I’ve stumbled across two blog posts asking why there isn’t a lesbian bathhouse anywhere else?
Their mission statement is
The Women and Trans Bathhouse is an event where women and trans folk can explore their sexualities in a safe and supportive environment. The event, which is organized by a small committee of volunteers, is held at a city licensed and regulated men’s bathhouse; one of dozens in Toronto that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Our mission is to transform our own and our communities’ understanding of queer women’s and trans sexualities and to provide information about healthy sexual practices. As a committee, we are committed to organizing events that are safe and fun.
